Shanghai Richina Awards Fuxin Contract to Shanghai Baoye Construction and Engineering Company
April 8, 2010, Shanghai, PRC: Shanghai Richina Leather Company, Ltd. (SRL) has awarded the construction bid for the new Richina wet blue plant and support facilities to Shanghai Baoye Construction and Engineering Company following a rigorous evaluation process.
Shanghai Baoye won the bid based on their experience, past construction track record, and the competency of their project team, to be based in Fuxin. The construction project includes the building of the wet blue plant, dormitories, supervisor apartments and miscellaneous other buildings on the 75-acre site.
The construction will begin in April, with the facilities to be operational in late 2010. Planned to operate with a bluing capacity of 3 million hides per year, the first section of the plant, with a 1.5 million hides per capacity, will be operating in November 2010. W20 and Shenzhen Jindalai Environmental Company, two well-respected environmental engineering firms, are designing the ETP wastewater treatment plant.
The SRL Fuxin project team is comprised of Ernst Hagen, Hellen Xia and Robert Liu.
