Shanghai Richina Leather Awarded BLC Silver Certification

May 31, Shanghai, PRC: The BLC Leather Technology Centre has awarded SRL a Silver certification following the May 12 and 13, 2009 audit conducted by Mr. C. B. Wood, BLC’s Asian Manager. The results were audited against environmental protocols established by the Leather Working Group, a group of global brands, retailers and leading tanneries.

According to Hellen Xia, SRL’s Group Quality Assurance Director, “SRL is very proud of our commitment to environmental stewardship. The Silver certification represents the efforts Shanghai Richina is putting forth in areas of energy and water conservation, waste management and overall environmental excellence.” Bob Moore, President and CEO added, “we are committed at SRL to raise the operational bar of all aspects of our business. We are very proud of the team’s effort to achieve the BLC Silver ranking.
