Richina Inc., an independent and closely held New Zealand-headquartered Asia Pacific holding
company
with a particularly strong China focus, operates in three sectors through Richina Financial, Richina
Global Real Estate and Richina Industries. Richina has actively participated in China’s
extraordinary growth by deploying substantial international private equity capital over the past 18
years.
Richina Financial controls Richina (China) Investments Limited, a Chinese Holding Company (“CHC”), which
provides a wide range of financial services to both affiliates and strategic and financial partners.
Through the CHC, Richina operates a wholly-owned credit guaranty company, Shanghai Richina Credit
Guaranty Limited (“Richina Guaranty”), headquartered in Shanghai with a national license, which works in
cooperation with a large number of Chinese banks. Richina Guaranty facilitates the financial needs of
thousands of individuals and small and medium enterprises (“SMEs”) throughout China.
Richina Global Real Estate has diversified real estate development, construction, ownership and
management operations in China and New Zealand. Richina owns and operates 116 acres of land with 4.5
million square feet of improvements in Shanghai. In Beijing, the Richina Blue Zoo Aquarium has
entertained more than 10 million domestic and international visitors since its opening in 1996. It
remains one of the most popular world class “edu-tainment” facilities in the heart of Beijing. Its New
Zealand subsidiary Mainzeal Property and Construction Limited has been a leading real estate development
and construction company since 1968.
Richina Industries wholly owns a large and diverse portfolio of operating companies in China. Its
subsidiary, Shanghai Richina Leather (SRL) operates a large world class leather tannery in Shanghai that
produces shoe, automotive, accessory and upholstery finished leather. In addition, SRL has commissioned
a brand new wet blue and wet white facility with lime fleshing and lime splitting on its own 75 acre
industrial estate in Fuxin city of China’s Liaoning Province.
